Show Me A Parent Who HASN’T *Thought* About This…

November 24th, 2009

At least they were nice enough to give her the ducky.

…and I’ll show you a liar.

The duck? Nice touch, but might I suggest an alternative to the whole duct tape scenario?

Whydon’tcha check out The Babykeeper. Just an idea.

About this pic, you can see it (and others!) here: http://www.octanecreative.com/ducttape/walltapings/index.html scroll all the way down. They claim this is why you shouldn’t allow The Duct Tape Guys to babysit.

That is one patient baby! I can’t get my son (who’s about that age) to sit still so I can put his shirt on- I can’t imagine the challenge they underwent taping this kiddo to the wall.

Um, isn’t this abuse? Don’t people go to jail for stuff like this?

    Shame on them.

I really think you should not be putting up such pictures of your child because you could have your child taken away from you as a result of them.

I’m with “j” above. I’m sure CPS has something to say about this. As a parent this doesn’t make me laugh, it makes me shudder.

I know that baby! This is so really weird. I’ve seen the email that the parents sent to my friend(the baby’s grandfather), so it was a little shocking to see his picture on this blog.

I don’t think the baby was harmed in any way! She doesn’t look upset and I highly doubt her parents leave her like that for hours!

i wish i could do that to the kids i sit for…

oh, and some of you need to chill out. its a cute picture. the kid isnt crying, its not like her skin is taped to the f***ing wall- if you look its only her clothes, so its perfectly safe for the girl.
    relax!

Perfectly healthy and happy looking child, I doubt the parents will get into serious trouble.

Oh, the wonders of duct tape…

Funny, but still, awful. It isn’t safe, just think about it. Knife or scissors to get her down, and we all know how those little arms and legs flail around. Most parents cringe at the thought of bringing nail clippers close to their baby, how about heavy duty scissors?! Then there’s the danger of one of those supports coming loose, the whole thing could suddenly detach, and bam, you’ve got baby brain swelling or a fractured bone. And in simple practical matters, what if this kid suddenly has diarrhea and they can’t get her off the wall for another half hour, while she’s shrieking in pain because acid poop is eating through the skin on her ass, she can’t arch her back because she’s taped flat to a wall, and a crowd of panicked adults are crowding around her with sharp objects trying to hold down her limbs while she screams, and then someone has to catch her when they finally do get the tape cut?
So yeah, funny, but only in a hypothetical way. Should not have been actually done.

    *sigh*

*HIS* daddy was right *underneath* him, out of camera range, lying on the floor. No danger. The kiddo was having fun! Ok? Ok.

And we wonder why this generation is so screwed up! It’s from ppl like these commentators who are freaking out… can’t take a little bit of humor?! This kid is not in any way upset, he is holding his ducky and just fine. Take a joke and get on with your lives. CPS will not have anything to say about a cute picture. Happy baby, happy people who get this pic in an email. :)

Looks like a call to the Dept of Family and Children’s Sevices is in order. If I knew who you were, I’d make the call myself. You need help before you harm your baby AND I’m not joking.

I think to get the child “down” one could just pull the tape off of the wall. I don’t see any need for a chainsaw. I guess my kids never pooped acid. Maybe thats a new thing that babies do, now. The fact that the child herself looks mildly amused just adds to its comedic value for me.

Oh please, this is hilarious. Parents these are so pathetic how much they protect their children. I’m glad my parents let me learn on my own and weren’t afraid to discipline me in any way and it has led to me being a very educated, respectful, and in my opinion, good person in my 20’s. It just makes me sick to see how kids have come to be such “babies” compared to 10 years ago.

And to the parents of this child, this was great and I appreciate the laugh. I’m sure that most people were able to see there was no harm to the child or malicious intent whatsoever.

these people really did get arrested for the same thing.
i know when we were kids we’d tie each other up playing out kidnappings or robberies from tv shows. so what’s the big deal if a kid is restrained without malice for a little bit?

I totally agree! This is how people get their kids taken away. It’s not funny to duct tape your baby to a wall and take pictures. Also why some people shouldn’t ever reproduce.
